Geoffrey Batchen is a professor of Art History at the Graduate Center of the City
University of New York and has taught at the University of New Mexico and the
University of California, San Diego. He is the author of the books Burning
with Desire: The Conception of Photography; Each Wild Idea: Writing, Photography, History; and Forget Me Not: Photography and
Remembrance. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of
Sydney.
